Welcome to the First Pentecostal Music Department. A group of people who love to sing, love to play, love to worship, and are dedicated to making the name of God great in our generation. This is what we are called to do, this is what we were created for. Week in and week out, you’ll find us leading worship at First Pentecostal Church, lifting up our hearts, voices… and hands, to magnify the One who is worthy of all praise. There is nothing better, and we love doing it together!

Our primary objective is to experience and lead others into presence of God according to biblical principles: "...and when they lifted up their voices with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord.  Then the house was filled with a cloud, so that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God." (II Chronicles 5:13-14)

In this area you’ll find information about everything our choir and band. auditions, rehearsals, requirements etc., that will help you navigate your way through the process of joining this great family, or just give you information on what we do here in the worship ministry at First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs.

Members of our teams meet several times each week to practice and to lead worship in the services.
On Wednesday evenings, the band and singers for Turning Point (youth service) meet at 6:00 p.m., and the adult praise singers and worship team meet at 6:30 p.m.  The two groups must be ready for their respective services at 7:00 p.m.

Every Sunday morning, the adult praise/worship team meets at 8:30 a.m. to prepare for the morning worship service, which begins at 10:00 a.m. On the 2nd(second)Sunday of each month, the Youth choir rehearsal is at 5:00 p.m., and the service begins at 6:30 p.m. On the 4th(fourth)Sunday of each month, the adult choir rehearsal is at 4:30 p.m., and the service begins at 6:30 p.m.

We utilize the Worship Planning Software.  This software keeps track of the all service-related detail, from building worship-flow details down to the minute, scheduling and confirming your volunteers, to gathering feedback how the service went.
